What corporate document attestation covers
Corporate document attestation confirms a company document for someone outside the company to accept, most often a bank reviewing an account, a free zone authority processing a change, or a counterparty abroad checking who they are dealing with. The documents involved are usually a trade licence copy, a certificate of incorporation, a board or shareholder resolution, or a memorandum of association. This differs from attesting a personal document, because the signatory is acting for the company rather than for themselves, and we check who is authorised to sign before we attest anything. Where the document is a trade licence, articles or incorporation paperwork, the fee is fixed. Otherwise we quote after reading it.

Getting the scope right
A bank, free zone or counterparty rarely wants every company document attested at once. A bank account review might need only the trade licence and the latest resolution. A free zone change might need the memorandum and the amendment that caused it. Tell us who is asking and what for, and we tell you which documents actually need attesting.

What decides whether it is accepted
A bank or free zone checks that the attested document matches the company’s current trade licence exactly, including the name, the legal form and the licence number. A memorandum or resolution amended since it was issued must be read together with its amendments, not attested alone.

Where a corporate attestation gets refused
We cannot attest a company document where the person requesting it cannot show they are authorised to sign for the company. We cannot attest a memorandum or resolution where an earlier amendment is missing from the file, because the document on its own no longer reflects the company as it stands. A trade licence that has expired is attested as what it is, not as a current one.

What is the difference between this and attesting a personal document?

Can you attest a trade licence copy?
Yes, a certified copy of the current trade licence, from AED 500.
Do you attest resolutions as well as draft them?
Yes. Attesting an existing resolution is different from drafting a new one, tell us which you need.
Does a free zone company use the same route?
Many do, tell us the free zone and we confirm the route.
Will the bank accept an attested copy instead of the original?
Most banks do for a file copy. Ask your bank and we match the attestation to what they need.
Can a company representative abroad request this?
Yes, by sending the documents and proof of signing authority, or through a power of attorney.
